Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Awareness
This course has been designed to increase your awareness and knowledge of how to protect Vulnerable Adults, through building your capacity to understanding and recognising the signs of abuse.
On completion of this course, you will have developed your knowledge and ability to professionally raise a concern where there is a disclosure of possible abuse.
The training course is divided into six units and is delivered online, it will take approximately 1 hour to complete. On completion of the course, learners are required to complete an end of course quiz consisting of 20 multiple choice style questions.
By the end of this training session you will be able to:
- Identify vulnerable groups
- List the different types of abuse
- Recognise the warning signs of abuse
- Understand your role in the protection of Vulnerable Adults and how to report a concern
- Understand the importance of interpersonal skills, building professional relationships with those in your care and your colleagues
- Recognise and appreciate the importance of a no tolerance approach to abuse
